Ross and Smith Island’, ‘Ross and Smith Island is located in Diglipur Island of North Andaman District. For visiting Ross and Smith Island you have to hire fiber speed boat from Ariel Bay Jetty that take around 30 minutes to reach. The permission from forest department is required to visit this island. Ross and Smith Island Popularly known to be as Brother and Sister Island. This island is famous for its white sand bar separating these two islands, during on high tide the sand bar that joining these two islands disappears and leaving a convoy of water between these two islands and during low tide the sand bar again appears making the islands look magnificent.The turquoise blue shallow water around the island is the best site for swimming and relaxation. For sun bathing lovers these island is best place for their amazing experience.
RAMNAGAR BEACH
Ramnagar Beach is 35 Kms from Diglipur city which is located near Kalighat, this is one of the beautiful beaches in Diglipur Island. This Beach is the perfect place for picnic among the local people as it is least visited place in Diglipur. Ramnagar Beach is well known for turtle nesting ground during the winter season from December to March.
